Model Overview

The projector XR 10X-L by Sharp utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 2000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 at a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 2000 hours.
Regarding projection size, the value of 2000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 389 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 259 cm.
This model dates back to 2007 and is no longer part of Sharp's current product range.

Sharp XR 10X-L

It‘s 2012 now, I‘ve had the projector since 2008 and had to replace the lamp three months ago because I used it a lot. The only disadvantage of the projector is that it doesn‘t have an HDMI input. But this problem can be solved with a converter, as it can handle a resolution of up to 1080i. Apart from that, it really is an excellent device. I bought it brand new on ebay-USA. Apparently the Americans were all asleep at the time, because I only paid 400 dollars (300 euros). In addition, there were import costs of about 100 euros. So all in all I only paid 400 euros. But that was probably luck.

Sharp XR 10X-L

I bought the device 1 year ago in Dubai. I also use it there, mainly or rather only for private use.
I haven‘t had any problems with this device so far. Image quality and resolution are more than sufficient for private use.
However, I would advise those who buy black-burned DVDs not to buy such a device - of course you can see any difference in quality with this size of picture, so always buy original DVDs to enjoy everything properly.

I would buy the device again immediately.... price in Dubai (Sharaf DG, Carrefour) about 700 euros a year ago.
