Model Overview

A projector from Sharp is the XP-V801U-W, whose 3D-LED-LCD model delivers 8000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200 and a contrast of 3000000:1. With its built-in laser light source, the projector achieves a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 20000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 13.7 years.
Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Distance Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions.
A look at the light output reveals: The 8000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 1202 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 801 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams.
Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable.
