Equipped with LCOS technology, the Canon XEED WUX500ST Medical offers 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and is designed as a versatile projector. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 3000 hours for this projector's lamp. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. Accurate distances are provided by the Projector Calculator. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 112 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. Regarding projection size, the value of 5000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 718 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 479 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable. The projector was released in 2017 and is officially no longer distributed by Canon.
