As a projector, the Toshiba TDP T420 combines DLP technology with a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768, and is additionally specified with 4000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 2000:1. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours. A look at the light output reveals: The 4000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 551 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 367 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. The projector was released in 2008 and is officially no longer distributed by Toshiba.
