Based on DLP technology, the Runco VX 5000d projects images in a High-End Homecinema environment, with technical specs listing 1700 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 5500:1 and a HDTV 1280 x 720 resolution. According to Runco, the included lamp lasts up to 2000 hours. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Projection Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 1700 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 419 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 279 cm. Since entering the market in 2003, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.
