Based on DLP technology, the Runco SC 50D projects images in a High-End Homecinema environment, with technical specs listing 6000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 and a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to precisely align the image even with off-center installations. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Projector Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 787 cm can be illuminated with 6000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 525 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. This model dates back to 2010 and is no longer part of Runco's current product range.
