Based on DLP technology, the Runco LS 1 projects images in a High-End Homecinema environment, with technical specs listing 780 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 and a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 4000 hours. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 5.5 years possible. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Projector Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 780 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 284 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 189 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. Since entering the market in 2011, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
