As a projector for the High-End Homecinema sector, the Runco VX 5000c is equipped with 1500 ANSI lumens, a HDTV 1280 x 720 resolution and a contrast of 1000:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to precisely align the image even with off-center installations. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 393 cm can be illuminated with 1500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 262 cm. The projector was released in 2002 and is officially no longer distributed by Runco.
