The technical data of the Runco VX 80d includes 8000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1800:1 as well as a SXGA+ 1400 x 1050 display. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 1000 hours for this projector's lamp. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Projector Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 779 cm can be illuminated with 8000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 519 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. The projector was released in 2005 and is officially no longer distributed by Runco. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.
