The Runco VX 2cx is a LED-DLP projector that brings 2500 ANSI lumens, a HDTV 1280×720 Pixel resolution alongside a contrast of 3100:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 2000 hours. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to precisely align the image even with off-center installations. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Projector Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 2500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 508 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 339 cm. The projector was released in 2004 and is officially no longer distributed by Runco. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.
