This projector from Samsung utilizes Laser-DLP technology, achieving 700 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 1000:1 at a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 25000 hours, which translates to 17.1 years with 4 hours of daily use. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 38 cm. To make performance data comparable based on the ISO lumen values, we calculated an approximate ANSI lumen value. A look at the light output reveals: The 700 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 269 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 179 cm. Additionally, a built-in ambient light sensor measures the room lighting and automatically adjusts the projection settings. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K. For wireless audio output, the projector also supports Bluetooth, making it easy to quickly connect external soundbars. Thanks to support for Airplay, screen content can also be cast wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet, or PC to the screen.
