Behind the name DCD 500FD is a LED-DLP projector by Wolf Cinema, whose main features include 12000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 5000:1 and a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 1500 hours before a replacement is necessary. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Distance Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 12000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 1113 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 742 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. This model dates back to 2015 and is no longer part of Wolf Cinema's current product range.
