great scott(!), image rotation is always possible! ...what is not possible is something like zooming...because the image size depends on two factors, phosphor usage and distance... i guess you know all that yourself by now, your question is already some time ago...otherwise i can only recommend to really inform yourself before buying a CRT...or in other words, a 3-month study of the material, as a basis is imo advisable!
...you will learn everything else over time when you actually have such a device in your home
greetings

The projector can reproduce 1080i with 60hz from Blue Ray with an HDfury
- 720p with 60hz (Blue Ray) does not work because it is above 38hz
- 720p with 50hz (DVD upscaled) works just below 38hz
- everything else below 720p works
However, the picture is quite small at 720p you have to set the deflection size to maximum.
With 1080i there are problems with the display of the menu display from the Panasonic BD80 player
as this is output at a different frequency, but you can switch to normal FBAS video on the projector for the correct display of the display, i.e. double cabling once from HDMI to VGA and an extra FBAS line from the player to video 1 or 2
I hope this was helpful.

A very nice projector, also visually
Very nice projector. Not such a clunky box like some others.
Homogeneous, high-contrast, sharp picture. Unfortunately, the convergence setting is somewhat unfortunate.
Unfortunately not HD capable, relatively loud. Therefore only 70 points
