Known as the F3 SXGA+, this DLP projector by projectiondesign features basic specs of 5500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 7500:1 at a SXGA+ 1400 x 1050 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 2000 hours. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment without distortion. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 646 cm can be illuminated with 5500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 431 cm. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 30 decibels. The projector was released in 2004 and is officially no longer distributed by projectiondesign.
