The F1 SXGA model from projectiondesign combines DLP technology in the Standard-Portabel sector with 3000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1000:1 and a native SXGA 1280 x 1024 resolution. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Projection Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 464 cm can be illuminated with 3000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 309 cm. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 28 decibels. The projector was released in 2002 and is officially no longer distributed by projectiondesign.
