Based on DLP technology, the Hewlett Packard xp8020 projects images in a Standard-Portabel environment, with technical specs listing 3300 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1000:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 1500 hours. Should a perpendicular setup to the screen not be possible, the integrated keystone correction (horizontal and vertical) helps to realign the image into a perfect rectangle. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Projection Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 500 cm can be illuminated with 3300 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 333 cm. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. The projector was released in 2004 and is officially no longer distributed by Hewlett Packard.
