The projector Notebook Projection Companion by Hewlett Packard operates as a LED-DLP device with 100 ANSI lumens, a WVGA 858 x 600 resolution and a contrast of 800:1. An LED lifespan of 10000 hours is noted in the data sheet for this model – calculating to 6.8 years at four hours of use per day. Looking at practical performance, up to 102 cm can be illuminated with 100 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 68 cm. Since entering the market in 2010, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.

Positives: LED (hopefully lasts forever), good picture, easy connection, good price, high quality workmanship, high brightness.
Negatives: somewhat loud fan for movie nights (e.g. romantic movies), the focus shifts in the first few minutes when the projector gets warm - you have to readjust 2-3 times in the first 10 minutes.
Other than that, very compact - fits quickly into the notebook bag. I also use the projector in my motorhome and sometimes in the bedroom.
