The RL-6000UT model is a LCD projector from Elmo, intended for Short Distance applications, offering 6000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3500000:1 at WUXGA 1920 x 1200. Using this laser phosphor technology, the light source runtime is rated at 20000 hours – calculating to 13.7 years at four hours of use per day. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction. Precise setup distances can be determined in the Projector Calculator. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 138 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 787 cm can be illuminated with 6000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 525 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios. The HDBaseT connection particularly shows its strengths in complex installations, enabling long transmission paths with standard CAT cables. The model is currently no longer actively offered on the market by the manufacturer.
