The projector WU5 by AVANZA utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 6000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 100000:1 at a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200. The laser technology ensures a specified light source lifespan of up to 20000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 13.7 years at 4 hours a day. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The Lens Shift Calculator helps find the optimal installation dimensions. A look at the light output reveals: The 6000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 787 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 525 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 30 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. This device is no longer manufactured and has been removed from AVANZA's current lineup.
