The Horizon 20 Max model is a 3D-Laser-DLP projector from XGIMI, intended for Homecinema applications, offering 7125 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 20000:1 at UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160. With its built-in laser light source, the projector achieves a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 20000 hours. Daily use of 4 hours makes an operational lifespan of over 13.7 years possible. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction. The amount of leeway the lens provides can be checked in the Distance Calculator. Because the manufacturer specifies brightness in ISO lumen values, we have determined an ANSI lumen value for better comparability. Looking at practical performance, up to 858 cm can be illuminated with 7125 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 572 cm. Additionally, a built-in ambient light sensor measures the room lighting and automatically adjusts the projection settings. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K. Equipped with Google TV, the device provides direct access to a broad spectrum of streaming services. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For wireless audio output, the projector also supports Bluetooth, making it easy to quickly connect external soundbars. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Since the projector supports Chromecast screen mirroring, video signals can also be streamed wirelessly from the end device.
