Known as the dv • 5000 vario+, this LCD projector by Liesegang features basic specs of 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 800:1 at a SXGA+ 1400 x 1050 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 1000 hours. In terms of image alignment, the model offers an optical lens shift function, allowing the image to be shifted on the projection surface without any loss of quality. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 616 cm can be illuminated with 5000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 411 cm. Since entering the market in 2005, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
