As a projector for the Standard-Portabel sector, the Videoseven PL700 X is equipped with 1300 ANSI lumens, a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast of 400:1. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 1500 hours. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. Regarding projection size, the value of 1300 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 314 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 209 cm. This is a discontinued model that is no longer officially distributed by Videoseven. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.

The Pl 700 x is practically in continuous use with us (approx. 2 h daily) and has always served us well so far.
The image reproduction is good from a semi-dark environment, the fan volume is acceptable and the menu is clear and self-explanatory. One criticism, however, is that the lamp‘s service life is too short. It is stated to last 1500 hours, but it has only lasted 665 hours - not even half of that. If this is the rule, it will be very expensive at around €300 - €350 for a replacement lamp. Let‘s see how long the new lamp lasts.
