This projector is named VC1, comes from Steinmann, and its data sheet shows 40 ANSI lumens and a resolution of 480 x 240. As an LED projector, the spec sheet indicates a lifespan of 40000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 27.4 years at 4 hours a day. This model dates back to 2008 and is no longer part of Steinmann's current product range.

The projection is too dark. The screen width should be reduced.
yes that‘s really a problem with LED beamers i just say finger away from LED no matter if it‘s from steinmann or sony / Toshiba.

miserable picture quality made in China
I was allowed to borrow it for 2 hours....for very little use at best for movies in bed for two, bad optics (not sharp to focus) too dark and very weak resolution of not even VGA

LED Beamer
yes I think so too, I would never buy a LED beamer because the resolution is very low, for example the ones from Toshiba and samsung, there were also a lot of complaints about samsung.

Not comparable with conventional projectors!
Unsuitable for use with a laptop as the resolution is too low! Picture quality for DVD/TV is sufficient but not exhilarating. Value max. 200€

small, long lamp life, robust
I bought the projector for 799 euros on the Internet and would like to give a brief report on it:. I use it for lectures at university and am particularly pleased with its size. It is approx. 20* 10 cm in size and can therefore be transported without any problems. Furthermore, it works with LED lamps which, in contrast to normal projector lamps, cost only 10 euros (instead of 200-300 euros) and last up to 50,000 hours (instead of 1000-2000). The lamps do not shine as brightly, but it is ideal for darkened rooms. It even has a built-in speaker and can be connected to a laptop, which makes it the ideal travel companion. I have had the projector since the beginning of the year and have never had any problems with it. It is very robust (I have dropped it twice and it still works perfectly). So I hope I could help you with the report, if you have any questions just write me briefly and I will answer them.
Conclusion: Ideal projector for traveling and presentations

very robust equipment
quite usable as a home theater device and also suitable for open air. However, it should be dark. In any case, very robust equipment at a reasonable price. The projector is suitable for people who constantly watch movies, as the lamp lasts a very long time.

Steinmann projectors with huge potential
ADVANTAGES: LEDs emit significantly less heat and therefore enable a weaker and therefore quieter cooling system. At less than 20 watts, power consumption is also many times lower than with conventional projectors. And unlike halogen lamps, the robust light-emitting diodes will probably never need to be replaced: The specified 10,000 operating hours - the manufacturers estimate that LEDs only have half their luminosity left after this time - correspond to around seven years of continuous use (halogen: maximum 3000 hours) with eight hours of operation per day. Another novelty: The LED projectors can be optionally retrofitted with an attached rechargeable battery and can therefore also be used in places where there is no power socket.
NOFFS: In addition to the comparatively high price, the meagre light output is the biggest weak point of LED technology: At 40 ANSI lumens, it seems a little low (but it is not a problem in dark rooms). As the light output of LEDs develops, the dwarfs will conquer the living room. Only when prices fall will the fun factor play a real role.
