As a projector, the Ricoh PJ X4241N combines DLP technology with a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768, and is additionally specified with 3300 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 13000:1. According to Ricoh, the lamp has a durability of 3500 hours. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 106 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. Looking at practical performance, up to 500 cm can be illuminated with 3300 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 333 cm. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Since the projector supports Miracast screen mirroring, video signals can also be streamed wirelessly from the end device. This model dates back to 2015 and is no longer part of Ricoh's current product range.
