The Ricoh PJ WXL4540 is a 3D-DLP projector that brings 3200 ANSI lumens, a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution alongside a contrast of 13000:1. With its built-in laser light source, the projector achieves a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 20000 hours. Daily use of 4 hours makes an operational lifespan of over 13.7 years possible. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 104 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. Regarding projection size, the value of 3200 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 575 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 383 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (10W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. The projector was released in 2016 and is officially no longer distributed by Ricoh.
