Equipped with proven projection technology, the Microvision SHOW WX+ offers 15 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 5000:1 and is designed as a versatile projector. To reduce dependence on stationary power sources, the model is equipped with a built-in battery for autonomous operation. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. This model dates back to 2010 and is no longer part of Microvision's current product range.

This results in "black" (because unlit) horizontal lines at large projection distances, comparable to the fly screen effect of LCD projectors or video formats that only save every second line. The latter can be seen here: youtube.com/watch?v=ilTzwYkjdvY. As with the fly screen effect, this is only noticeable at a short viewing distance
As the projection distance decreases, the dark lines become narrower until they disappear. At even shorter distances, the image slowly becomes blurred because the laser beam is then wider than a single pixel.
However, both the lines and the blurring play a subordinate role in practice. For a comfortable image size/brightness, choose a distance at which the lines are tolerable or almost non-existent.
I recommend a projection distance of 80 cm in twilight. In a completely darkened room, I recommend a maximum projection distance of 150cm (e.g. chair back to ceiling) and the largest possible viewing distance (e.g. bed to ceiling).
