The basic data of the Medion MD 30055 includes 1500 ANSI lumens, a resolution of SVGA 800 x 600 as well as a contrast of 2000:1. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 1500 hours. A look at the light output reveals: The 1500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 337 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 225 cm. This model dates back to 2005 and is no longer part of Medion's current product range.

Connecting a PS3 is no problem. Simply set the video signal of the PS3 to RGB and connect the RCA cable. Since it‘s not an HD projector, the picture naturally grays (which never stopped me when I had visitors).

I‘ve had the MD 30055 projector for a long time and it works great! Now I‘ve got a Playstation 3 that I‘d like to connect to the projector... Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, how?

I bought the first MD30055 projector at the end of 2005 and it offers great value for money. The lamp life so far is incredible (no worse performance so far!): 3 x resets and just under 9000h so far on ECO!!!

The projector is absolutely great for home use: bright, easy to use and quiet to boot. I bought it last week at Aldi for just 599 euros - there‘s nothing to complain about. After all, if you want to drive a small car, you don‘t set the standards of a luxury car....
