As a projector for the Homecinema sector, the Medion MD 2980 is equipped with 1000 ANSI lumens, a SVGA 800 x 600 resolution and a contrast of 1000:1. According to Medion, the included lamp lasts up to 1500 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 275 cm can be illuminated with 1000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 183 cm. The projector was released in 2004 and is officially no longer distributed by Medion.

very good projector, slight rainbow effect but not disturbing. Very quiet. Slight grid visible. Excellent price/performance.

Very satisfied with the price/performance ratio.
Very low operating noise.
Progressive scan capable.
Sadly visible raster despite DLP technology. However, this is not a problem in practice.
The projector gets image distortions if it is set up at a steep angle. Within +/- 5 ° everything is fine.
