The Dreamy Geek 3 model is a DLP projector from DreamVision, intended for Standard-Portabel applications, offering 870 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 4000:1 at HDTV 1920 x 1080. The built-in LED technology features a light source lifespan of 30000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 20.5 years at 4 hours a day. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The Lens Shift Calculator helps find the optimal installation dimensions. To allow for cross-manufacturer brightness comparisons, the stated ANSI lumen value is based on a conversion of the lumen specifications. Looking at practical performance, up to 300 cm can be illuminated with 870 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 200 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. Furthermore, the model is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing audio signals to be sent wirelessly to external speakers. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 30 decibels. The projector was released in 2021 and is officially no longer distributed by DreamVision.
