Brief Introduction
 Beta 2.5 |
The Cine X Two DLP projector from DreamVision has 1100 Ansi lumens, a contrast of 750:1 and an SVGA 800 x 600 resolution. The projector will be able to illuminate a 289 cm image width well. However, if room light is available, the image width should ideally not exceed 193 cm. The model is no longer offered by DreamVision. It should also be noted that there are unfortunately no longer any replacement lamps available for the projector, neither originals nor replicas.

DreamVision Cine X Two Ratings

DreamVision = dream picture for the spoiled... |
|
Hello,
I also had a CINEXTWO and was very satisfied with the DreamVision all round.
Would recommend it again at any time - even second-hand, if one were ever available. But there‘s really no good reason to give up the projector.
The very high quality electronics built into all DreamVision projectors are expensive, but are also very noticeable.
The panel resolution says just as little as the brightness in lumens - these are just superficial, market-screaming decision criteria for the ramp sale of cheap devices.
We want a really nice picture, yes!
When remodeling my home cinema, I took the risk of buying the bigger brother, the DreamWeaver Two from the projection specialists DreamVision (DLP, approx. 6,000.00 euros). The 1024x576 panel with its Farudja engine is ideally suited for all HDTV formats (up to 1080p): Another top device!

Still an ingenious device! |
|
My Cine X Two dates back to 2003, cost just under 3,000 euros at the time and I‘m still VERY happy with it. The French high-end manufacturer has scored a major coup here with a small but powerful device!
There are no signs that the end of the lamp is approaching (currently 1150 hours) - but even that wouldn‘t scare me (replacement lamp from around 300 euros, but you can put a lot more on the counter if you want).
The picture is still much nicer than that of the new LCD projectors (DLP is DLP.In my system, the picture diagonal is around 200 cm, no problem with light despite the simple projection surface - and absolutely great contrast, beautiful black levels, no pixels to be seen, great and easy to adjust equalization etc. from any projection angle.
The device itself is of absolutely high quality, which you can see from the white magnesium housing (!), for example (no dull plastic bomber!). The projector is very small, absolutely slim and elegant; the remote control in credit card format is cool...
With several inputs with PIP function, also very practical.
If a beautiful home theater picture counts, still an absolute recommendation. That‘s why the used devices are also traded very high - if someone gives one away at all (because the projector itself apparently lives forever and the lamps are available at a fair price, they are still getting cheaper...).
Conclusion: Absolutely a fine device for upscale gourmets.

very good device - but not perfect |
|
I bought mine in 2002 and have taken good care of it: no short off and on times, always run well, non-smoking household.
advantages: the picture is very nice, everything is easy to adjust.
disadvantages: a) with my diagonal screen size of 300 cm, it has to be as dark as possible in the room despite a very good screen.
b) the projector is not exactly quiet, which the technical data already reveals. this is not an issue with music videos, but it is with quiet films.
c) the lamp should last 1500 hours. mine gave up after four and a half years and after 970 hours. annoying, since it is quite expensive.
d) a minor disadvantage that is rather negligible in practice: white, very fast-moving text remains blurred (credits, stock market prices, ..)
if you don‘t have a problem with the first 3 disadvantages, you won‘t experience any other nasty surprises with the device. today i would also look at the real resolution of the device - there are now better ones.
