As a projector, the AAXA M8 UST combines DLP technology with a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080, and is additionally specified with 1100 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 2000:1. With its built-in laser light source, the projector achieves a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 30000 hours, which translates to 20.5 years with 4 hours of daily use. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 40 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. Regarding projection size, the value of 1100 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 337 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 225 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K are supported. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. Furthermore, the model is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing audio signals to be sent wirelessly to external speakers. Since the projector supports Miracast and Airplay screen mirroring, video signals can also be streamed wirelessly from the end device. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 30 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling.
