According to Suant, the Performer Z1000 model provides 1000 ANSI lumens, a contrast ratio of 600:1 alongside a WVGA 800 x 480 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 6000 hours, achieving a lifespan of 8.2 years when used for 2 hours a day. Regarding projection size, the value of 1000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 321 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 214 cm. With a value of only 29 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. This is a discontinued model that is no longer officially distributed by Suant.

Have been using the projector for a good 2 years now and am quite satisfied. It‘s perfect for watching TV, just plug it in and start watching immediately! And if the bulb ever breaks, I bought a replacement bulb for 20 euros :)

native resolution??
Hi!
I‘ve just looked at several homepages, but somehow I can‘t figure it out. 4:3 is native, of course, but what is the native resolution? 640x480 or 800x600? Because 800x480 can‘t be right....

I would not recommend the Suant Z1000...
Picture is rather blurred and for daytime display, basically
too dark. The room must be completely darkened,
otherwise there is nothing to be done with this projector. The noise
of the fan is quite annoying, especially when the
device requires more cooling after a while! Then the noise can no
longer be described as acceptable in order to hear the sound undisturbed.
With regard to lens production, which is why I already referred to the
term "rather blurred" in the first sentence above, well, the sharpness also clearly leaves a lot to be desired from the inside to the outside (obviously inferior
quality as far as lens production is concerned).
As far as PC gaming suitability is concerned, well, the
resolution may have to be lowered to 640x480 pixels (even at 800x600
poor legibility of letters and labels). The
LCD perforated matrix is clearly visible or simply too coarsely arranged.
However, if you only want to spend very little money, this device is the right choice...

Low price - low performance
I bought the device on Ebay and have to say that pictures from a receiver or a DVD player are just ok. But the device is absolutely useless for displaying a PC picture, as you can hardly read the fonts and the mechanical keystone correction means that the picture is either blurred at the bottom or top if the device is not positioned at exactly the right projection height (who has the resources to manage this).
My recommendation as an alternative Acer X1260 for 399 euros - it‘s absolutely top!

Question about picture quality
I‘m also planning to get the z1000. But like many, I have concerns about the picture quality in daylight etc., I would be happy if someone could post a few pictures of the beamer‘s picture online =)
Hope that someone will make the effort =)
Many thanks in advance

Top price/performance
hello me again. i bought this thing. super picture quality. top device. i looked at other devices in specialist shops. they were available from 400 euros. the values were better and i had real concerns when i ordered, but the picture quality is no worse than with the expensive devices despite the poorer values. and the replacement bulb only costs 30 euros!!!! not 250 like the others. not to mention the lifespan. i‘m absolutely delighted. price/performance is great.

Good picture???
hello i was told today that the cheap lcd projectors have a lot of pixelation and you should keep your hands off them. i want to watch soccer (em) or formula 1 on the big screen from time to time. maybe dvd from time to time. who can tell me if the picture of this projector is suitable for this. the ball should be halfway recognizable as something round. thanks for your answer.

Suant Performer Z1000
The device is suitable for watching TV programs
Not suitable for presentations due to the low resolution
The volume of the fan does not matter for music videos
The keystone correction is a mechanical solution. This means that the display is simply tilted. This means that the upper and lower edges of the display are at different distances from the lens and the sharpness of the image can only be adjusted to the exact center. The upper and lower half of the image is therefore slightly blurred. However, this is only noticeable when text is superimposed
Without keystone correction, a sharp image is displayed over the entire surface.
