The HDSS 1600 is a LCD projector by Suant, whose specifications list 1600 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 600:1 and a SVGA 800 x 600 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 6000 hours. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 8.2 years possible. A look at the light output reveals: The 1600 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 348 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 232 cm. Since entering the market in 2009, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
