A projector from Roly is the RL-M85U, whose LED-LCD model delivers 8500 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200 and a contrast of 5000000:1. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 20000 hours. Daily use of 4 hours makes an operational lifespan of over 13.7 years possible. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Projection Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Looking at practical performance, up to 937 cm can be illuminated with 8500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 625 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs.
