The VP 4001 is a BrilliantColor-DLP projector by Marantz, whose specifications list 1200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 6500:1 and a WXGA 1280 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 2000 hours. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. Looking at practical performance, up to 352 cm can be illuminated with 1200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 235 cm. Since entering the market in 2006, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
