The technical data of the Yamaha DPX 1300 includes 800 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 5000:1 as well as a HDTV 1280 x 720 display. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2000 hours. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment; exact values can be calculated using the Lens Shift Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 800 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 287 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 191 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. With a value of only 30 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. The projector was released in 2005 and is officially no longer distributed by Yamaha.

It is certainly a good device, but when the lamp burst after 400 hours (despite perfect operation - i.e. no draughts, no smoke, cooling process observed etc)...I thought the guarantee would fix it. After 3 months Yamaha does not give any guarantee on the lamp. The replacement lamp should cost 600 euros. I sold the Yamaha at a high price in the e-book and got a Sharp XV-Z3000 for 400. Cheaper...top picture and the replacement lamp costs 79 euros. Yamaha is totally overpriced for the lamps.

Top projector!
I‘ve owned the Yamaha DPX 1300 for 2 years now and am very happy with it. It produces an incredibly beautiful picture, especially with Bluray. So if you can still get one cheaply, go for it. I‘m certainly not going to swap mine for a new one yet, as I can‘t see a huge difference.
Greetings Tom
