A projector from Appotronics is the SU13KAS, whose Laser-DLP model delivers 13000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200 and a contrast of 100000:1. With its built-in laser light source, the projector achieves a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 20000 hours – calculating to 13.7 years at four hours of use per day. The presence of a lens shift function enables flexible vertical or horizontal positioning of the projector without digital interference. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Looking at practical performance, up to 1244 cm can be illuminated with 13000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 829 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable.
