The AL-UW420A is a 3D-Laser-DLP projector by Appotronics, whose specifications list 4200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 35000:1 and a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution. The laser technology ensures a specified light source lifespan of up to 20000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 13.7 years. Thanks to its low throw ratio, the model is excellently suited for rooms with limited space. A distance of just 46 cm is sufficient to generate an image width of 2 meters. Looking at practical performance, up to 658 cm can be illuminated with 4200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 439 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Since entering the market in 2019, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
