The Y8 model is a LED-LCD projector from Yoton, intended for Standard-Portabel applications, offering 600 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 12000:1 at HDTV 1920 x 1080. An LED lifespan of 30000 hours is noted in the data sheet for this model – calculating to 20.5 years at four hours of use per day. Because the manufacturer specifies brightness in lumen specifications, we have determined an ANSI lumen value for better comparability. Looking at practical performance, up to 249 cm can be illuminated with 600 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 166 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K. Furthermore, the model is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing audio signals to be sent wirelessly to external speakers. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Thanks to support for Miracast and Airplay, screen content can also be cast wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet, or PC to the screen.
