Behind the name K8 is a LED-LCD projector by Wimius, whose main features include 400 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 and a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. The LED unit of this model is rated for up to 150000 hours of runtime – equivalent to a usable life of 102.7 years at 4 hours a day. Looking at practical performance, up to 203 cm can be illuminated with 400 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 135 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media.
