Based on DLP technology, the Vidikron Vision Model 40 device delivers 850 ANSI lumens, a resolution of HDTV 1280 x 720 and a contrast of 1600:1 as a projector. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. For maximum setup flexibility, the model supports optional interchangeable lenses, meaning the optics can be precisely matched to individual on-site requirements. Suitable distances can be determined using the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 296 cm can be illuminated with 850 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 197 cm. The projector was released in 2003 and is officially no longer distributed by Vidikron.
