Behind the name S310D is a LCD projector by SVIC, whose main features include 120 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 800:1 and a VGA 640 x 480 resolution. According to SVIC, the lamp has a durability of 6000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 8.2 years based on two hours of use per day. To ensure objective comparability, an approximate ANSI lumen value was calculated based on the lumen specifications. Looking at practical performance, up to 95 cm can be illuminated with 120 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 63 cm. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 28 decibels. This is a discontinued model that is no longer officially distributed by SVIC.
