Equipped with DLP technology, the emachines V700 offers 2500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3200:1 and is designed as a versatile projector. According to emachines, the lamp has a durability of 3000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 508 cm can be illuminated with 2500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 339 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Since entering the market in 2010, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. However, it remains one of the frequently accessed models in our database.

Very good, durable projector
Have had the projector for about 8 years, use it occasionally for movie nights. I changed the lamp a year ago and the picture was immediately much brighter again. The projector is nice and quiet, comparatively small and light. No pixel errors, no picture problems. Reliable, robust workhorse. I‘m still very satisfied!

Pixel errors (small gray dots)
In the first the lamp broke after about 3/4 year, after new lamp shortly after the warranty pixel errors, which became more and more (to the point of being unnoticeable) even within a film. With the second one after 3 years pixel errors, which also became more and more. and no, it was not dust, after removing the DLP/DMD you could see it exactly under the magnifying glass. This is definitely a knock-out criterion *pity*.

*Pixel errors*
The built-in chip is prone to pixel errors, which then cover the image afterwards. A repair or a new chip is very expensive. The whole device then becomes waste, although everything else still works. Perhaps the low price was due to the fact that inferior chips were used. So one point. Although it could be good and usable in itself.

Very good, but ...
Have had the projector for 6 years and can only confirm the very good reviews. Mickrig is only the remote control . The switching between the inputs is annoying. Now the projector unfortunately has new pixel errors every time it is switched on, now over 100 !!! There are goodwill solutions from Acer(emachine) for up to 5 years. This error has also occurred with friends of mine - regardless of the operating hours . My projector has only 700 . Without this annoying error I would have given it at least 4.5 .

Excellent!
This is now the second V700 I‘ve bought, the first one hangs on the ceiling of my friend‘s basement movie theater and I‘ve now given myself the second one! ;-) The eMachines V700 is simply a really good and inexpensive projector that is suitable for all media, whether Bluray, DVD, games consoles or DVB-T. It produces a beautifully sharp and colorful picture on a matching screen. I myself put an ND2 gray filter in front of the lens to get a little better black level and brighter colors and the additional 5€ are not a bad investment. So if you don‘t mind the RBE=rainbow effect, you should really go for it "as it is often available cheaply used"...a nice little; light and compact HD projector ;-)

eMachines V700
I‘ve had the projector for 5 months and I have to say that it‘s the best for me. Even if you have a ps3e and a HD reciver + a HDMI distributor, super picture in HD and also in 3d, for example: PS3 + Capitan America the game runs perfectly in 3d.it has paid off

Simply great
Hello, I‘ve had the V700 for a month and I‘m thrilled.
I‘ve been flirting with a plasma all this time, but I gave myself a jolt with the V700, and? I was not disappointed. I just set it up and cast the picture on a roughcast wall with a screen diagonal of over 3m, who wants a mousehole TV? The screen is still next to it :-)
I only use it in ECO mode. Daylight? Well, I have a loft apartment with a skylight in the living room. If the sun isn‘t shining directly in, I don‘t even close the blackout.
Don‘t believe the hype, even if it can do HD and 3D.

Price performance TOP
Have had the projector for just over a year now, mainly for home cinema use.
Mounted on the ceiling, approx. 260cm diagonal on a real screen.
The picture is absolutely satisfactory and bright, black also looks good.
I don‘t think you can get many better projectors for the price...
I would recommend the projector to my friends!

Flickering at 1080p
when I connect the PS3, the projector automatically sets itself to 1080p (does it then downsample?).
the picture looks better in this mode, but the projector starts to flicker again and again, which is firstly annoying and secondly looks worrying..
is the flickering normal (i.e. should 1080p mode be avoided?) or is it a hardware defect?

5 meters distance to the screen
Hello!
Is 4.50 to 5 meters distance to the screen a problem with this projector? I don‘t know much about it yet! Not that the picture gets blurred...

HD-ready projector that leaves nothing to be desired!
Acer markets its entry-level notebooks, desktop PCs and projectors under the eMachines brand. It is therefore not surprising that the eMachines V700 is identical to the Acer H5360. First of all, I have tested both devices. If you buy the V700, you will avoid the previous firmware problems of the Acer H5360, such as the Eco setting being forgotten when switching sources / disconnecting the power or the missing automatic orientation position .
[DLP without rainbow effect]
As a true 720p HD-ready DLP projector, the eMachines V700 projects native 1280 x 720 pixels onto the screen. But it is also compatible with material up to a 1080p resolution with 1920 x 1080 pixels. The V700s connection options are diverse (VGA, composite, S-Video, component video, HDMI, audio input), leaving nothing to be desired. In connection with DLP technology, the so-called rainbow effect (RBE) is often mentioned. In a single-chip projector, the white light from the projection lamp is separated into its primary colors by three filters on a color wheel and projected onto the screen one after the other instead of simultaneously. With rapid eye movements, the three primary colors may be perceived separately, resulting in a rainbow-like color flash effect. I can only say that I have never noticed such an effect with the V700 or the H5360. This applies to DivX, HD and also for PAL source material.
[HD ready or Full HD?]
The projector is surprisingly compact and with 2 kg a real featherweight. Various connection cables and a transport bag are included. The elegant remote control can be stored directly on top of the device. I operate the V700 without a screen at a distance of about 5 m directly on a white wall. A particular challenge is that the V700 is placed at a slight angle to the wall at a height of about 1.50 m, and is therefore not in the center, which are not optimal conditions. But thanks to the automatic tilt correction, none of this is a problem. The V700 automatically projects an optimally straight image onto the wall. It should be clear that due to the technology, projectors cannot compete with sunlight during the day. The more direct light there is, the less saturated the image will be. From dusk onwards, the projector produces a fantastically brilliant image that is second to none in this price range. Once youve seen HD material on the V700, youll never want to go back to (PAL) DVDs and youll only have a weary smile for expensive, variously sized LCD TV sets. If youre struggling with the question “Should I bite the bullet and go for full HD instead of HD ready?” I can only advise you not to go crazy and to go for 720p now. As with TV sets, the surcharge compared to the added value is rather modest. It may be that the difference becomes clear with a 10 m diagonal. But for home use and at this price, I dont really have a second opinion
[Eco mode and fan]
In Eco mode, the fan is whisper-quiet (27 instead of 32dB), power consumption is reduced from 248 to 201 watts and lamp life is increased from 3000 to up to 4000 hours. At a distance of about 1 meter, I dont notice the fan when watching a movie. Without Eco, the fan is more audible. But that doesnt detract from a movie night. Since the picture at dusk is only slightly better than without Eco, I only use the V700 in Eco mode.
[CONCLUSION]
The V700 gets an unreserved recommendation. Except for the eMachines logo in hardware and software, nothing changes in comparison to the Acer H5360 in terms of features and performance. The 720p eMachines V700 currently offers unbeatable value for money. If you are bothered by the lack of the nVidia 3D Vision Ready logo, although eMachines is supposedly working on nVidia certification, you can simply use the H5360 monitor driver (inf) that is circulating on the net.

Experience report
Short test report for all undecided V700 interested parties
As an introduction, briefly, my previous home theater experience and what I expected from the projector
I have had home theater for 9 years (Panasonic PT-AE100). 90" 16:9 self-made screen with rosewood frame and backlight. The distance to the screen is about 4m from the couch.
My old projector has also served me well for years and despite over 5000 hours with the first lamp for its technical possibilities still projected a pleasant picture (at least I thought so until I had the V700 running in direct comparison)
but now to my expectations:
1. To be able to enjoy sporting events in the living room without darkening
2. Rich black level for movies in the evening
3. Sharp, detailed presentation of my DVD collection (no Blueray player yet)
and more importantly - the results:
1. Football, Formula 1 without darkening during the day a pleasure! (I‘m currently experimenting with my own "black screen construction" and thanks to the 2500 ansi lumens there is still a lot of potential in terms of black level and contrast)
2. the black level is also absolutely satisfactory!
3. watching DVDs is twice as much fun as before and you can watch all the "old" films again because there are soooooo many small details to discover at once.
other positive features:
good menu navigation and remote control does not have to be pointed directly at the projector.
Also almost as good picture properties via component input as via HDMI.
Mac-Book recognized the projector immediately and delivered a great picture.
1Year lamp warranty WITHOUT hour limit!
to the negative sides:
little flexibility in terms of positioning and tricky alignment of the projector in ceiling mode.
Fan could be a little quieter, but is still in the green range in ECO mode
Conclusion:
Surely there are better projectors ("only" HD-Ready) BUT NOT AT THIS PRICE! 499€ are unbeatable in terms of price-performance
My recommendation:
For all those who are flexible in their setup and have some manual skills a big JAAAA!
For all those who are not satisfied with HD-Ready, wait and see - maybe emachines will bring out a cheap FullHD projector.
If you are interested, please ask questions, I will try to answer them.
Greetings, Felix

eMachines V700 vs. Acer H5360
Super image, discreet fan noise, many connection options and at a reasonable price. The (identical?) projector from Acer; the H5360 costs €100 more.
The relatively small housing and low weight also make the projector suitable for mobile use. The appearance is enhanced by the white painted cover and leaves a very respectable impression. 100 points from me for the price/performance ratio.

simply an awesome picture
the v700 simply has an awesome picture, so i had a sony lcd before which unfortunately could only do 800x600 but the v700 is so much better
