The basic data of the Avsion YS 500A includes 72 ANSI lumens and a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 10000 hours before a replacement is necessary. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 13.7 years. To ensure objective comparability, an approximate ANSI lumen value was calculated based on the lumen specifications. Looking at practical performance, up to 74 cm can be illuminated with 72 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 49 cm. This device is no longer manufactured and has been removed from Avsion's current lineup.

The projection is too dark. The screen width should be reduced.

A commercially available 150 watt HQI lamp is installed at a price of 25-30 euros.
The picture quality is acceptable. The fan noise and the lousy sound are a little annoying!!!
Have the device running on a DolbySourround amplifier. This means that the sound no longer plays a role. However, this device is a real and inexpensive alternative and is recommended for watching TV, DVD and games.
