Behind the name ZenBeam E1 is a LED-DLP projector by Asus, whose main features include 150 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 800:1 and a WVGA 854 x 480 resolution. The manufacturer specifies a durability of 30000 hours for the LED light source – calculating to 20.5 years at four hours of use per day. Looking at practical performance, up to 124 cm can be illuminated with 150 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 83 cm. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. The projector was released in 2016 and is officially no longer distributed by Asus. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
