This projector is named DG 973, originates from Digital Galaxy, and its data sheet shows 770 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 600:1 and a resolution of SVGA 800 x 600. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 5000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 6.8 years based on two hours of use per day. To ensure objective comparability, an approximate ANSI lumen value was calculated based on the lumen specifications. Looking at practical performance, up to 242 cm can be illuminated with 770 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 161 cm. Since entering the market in 2008, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
