Brief Introduction
 Beta 2.5 |
The standard portable Suant Performer C1500 LCD projector has 1500 Ansi lumens, a contrast of 600:1 and a WVGA 800 x 480 resolution. The manufacturer Suant specifies a lamp life of 6000 hours, which is over 8.2 years with a daily viewing time of 2 hours. A picture width of up to 393 cm is possible. However, the picture should be smaller in room light. We recommend max. 262 cm. This model is no longer offered by Suant.

Scrap |

I once bought one of these on eBay for a lot of money. I unpacked it, tried it out, packed it up and sent it back. Miserable picture - and anyone who says otherwise is blind - incredibly loud and really shoddy workmanship. The background noise alone spoils the fun of watching movies, the picture does the rest.
The quality is modest in every respect.
Has anyone ever noticed that this technical garbage is available in around 50 different cases? All with the same panels, the same connection sockets, the same "turn-a-knob keystone correction" that is as accurate as a steam hammer... Unbelievable. And has anyone ever noticed that the Suant projectors that come from Holland are sold from China under three other labels and are practically identical? And that projectors of the same catastrophic design appear on Ebay every month in different cases? Also unbelievable ...
Possibly the two users who describe good experiences have received two devices that deviate from the production standard and accidentally deliver a good result - but I personally think this is actually impossible due to the design. I then bought an Acer XD1150, which has been running for 1800 hours without any problems, is whisper quiet, has a great picture and the lamp costs around 120 euros... You really get more out of it! So much for that.

Not to be recommended |

The picture is to be thrown away! Too dark, too blurred, etc. I own a 100" Celexion screen and every Acer or Benq projector around 250€ beats this junk from China by far. Hands off this garbage!

Ceiling mount? |
|
Hello everyone,
I also bought the C1500. Unfortunately it is a mystery to me how to realize the ceiling mounting...! The projector hangs upside down, but unfortunately so does the picture! Turning the projector upside down using the software (turn it from off to on) is unsuccessful! Could it be that it‘s not possible with this model?
Who has managed it? HELP!!!
Best regards
Sascha

Simple genius |

Since I‘m not one of the blind, I don‘t understand how you can disparage such a good device. I have a diagonal of about 3 meters and the picture is razor sharp. So I can really only recommend this device. And the lamp only costs around €25
I‘m already looking forward to the 2010 World Cup

C1500 |

I also have a C1500. This projector is simply unbeatable for its price. I mainly use 576p or 1080i with this projector. Despite the 137 inch screen diagonal, the picture is simply sharp, the colors are true to reality and it doesn‘t have any pixel errors either
I used to have a Panasonic PT AE 100E that cost around DM 2000 to buy. The lamp only lasted 250 hours. After 500 hours the electronics told me to get out. And Panasonic wanted 75 EUR for the estimate and around 300 EUR for the repair. How many times I could have gone to the cinema?
I hope and appeal to Suant to bring out a successor to the C1500 that can also do Full HD.
Price/performance and the follow-up costs of the C1500 projector are simply TOP and have been thought through with common sense.

Beamer |
|
Ok, yesterday I also bought this device. I tested it on a yellow wall with woodchip. The result was great, I can‘t understand why it‘s being talked about so badly here. I‘m already looking forward to the picture when my canvas is finished
And I‘m glad I bought it anyway, even though some people don‘t seem to make reasonable judgments.

China scrap! |
|
Here you can clearly see who wants to push advertising for the device.
Lars is absolutely right, the projector is rubbish. Native resolution of 800* *** but compressed HD resolution? Well, have a heart!
--> China scrap, dont buy it, you can get much better ones for the price.

I also bought a C1500 and am completely satisfied with it.
The price/performance ratio is right and the picture is really sharp - I can‘t confirm what the tester Lars says.

?????? |

Also, I don‘t know which projector you have at home, but my Suant C1500 projector is flawless and super sharp right to the edge. Could it be that you don‘t have that much knowledge? I also have projectors from benq and acer here, both HDTV projectors and the Suant is absolutely the same, so at this price, it‘s a good device MFG.

Suant c1500 or similar |
|
I bought this projector and have to get rid of the following !
In direct comparison to the Acer xd1150
Suant c1500 has never in my life 1500 lumen room must be really dark
Fan noise 51db / 46 db Eco mode measured / comparable to a quiet hair dryer.
Picture on component center sharp everything else blurred, edges are gray
on VGA 800x600 fonts from the PC are barely readable
signals partly only after reset available
In my opinion, China scrap
The 8000 hours lamp life are the decoy (simple halogen lamp
from Phillips approx. 17€ )
In the inside the part is clumped together, nothing fits properly everywhere is light which does not exactly promote the contrast.
The part must be absolutely centered to the screen, because the keystone correction brings graciously blur !
My conclusion,
Buy a DLP projector e.g. Acer xd1150 (350 €) almost daylight capable
and put 0,20€ per hour in your piggy bank which results in 400€ for a new lamp (200€) or a new projector !
who buys cheap, buys twice
absolutely not recommended.
