With the VP04, Wemax offers a LED-LCD projector that features 625 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2500:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. An LED lifespan of 30000 hours is noted in the data sheet for this model, covering an estimated 20.5 years based on a 4-hour daily runtime. Because the manufacturer specifies brightness in ISO lumen values, we have determined an ANSI lumen value for better comparability. Looking at practical performance, up to 227 cm can be illuminated with 625 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 151 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K. With the Google TV operating system, the projector acts as a media hub with centralized access to various apps. Furthermore, the model is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing audio signals to be sent wirelessly to external speakers. Since the projector supports Miracast and Airplay screen mirroring, video signals can also be streamed wirelessly from the end device. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 25 decibels.
