As a projector for the Short Distance sector, the Vivitek D791ST is equipped with 3000 ANSI lumens, a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast of 2500:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 4000 hours. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 5.5 years. With its built-in wide-angle optics, the device belongs to the category of short-throw projectors. An image width of 2 meters is realized from a short distance of 48 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 477 cm can be illuminated with 3000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 318 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. With a value of only 29 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. The projector was released in 2010 and is officially no longer distributed by Vivitek.
