The TCL A1 is a Laser-LCD projector offering 403 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. Thanks to LED technology, the projector is rated for a lifespan of up to 30000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 20.5 years. Because the manufacturer specifies brightness in ISO lumen values, we have determined an ANSI lumen value for better comparability. A look at the light output reveals: The 403 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 204 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 136 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. With the Google TV operating system, the projector acts as a media hub with centralized access to various apps. Furthermore, the model is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing audio signals to be sent wirelessly to external speakers. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 30 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling.
